Does fracking cause sink holes?

Are sinkholes caused by fracking? Is it more likely that sink holes will continue opening up due to fracking?

Maybe it does. There are a lot more sinkholes nowadays than 40-50 years ago. Also, there are unusual earthquakes in some of the areas where fracking started. The industry says it is a coincidence, but researchers have found correlation in the number of earthquakes and fracking activity.

Excellent question, I would think so. This is the very first time I've ever found someone else on the web bring up this subject. Nothing in the media and science. WTF? Sorry I can't answer your question with just a high school diploma. Fracking, from what I understand, is drilling down, then sideways. I would think so. That's why I'm against it.
