How to Open Link in New Page on iPhone (Safari)

by

When using the Safari browser on your iPhone, you may want to open up a link in a brand new page (window).  To open links in a new page (or copy the URL of a link) on an iPhone do the following:

  1. On your iPhone, open a web page within the Safari web browser, and then locate a link you would like to open up in a new page.
  2. Now select and hold you finger on the link for about 5 seconds.
  3. This will bring up a dialog box that allows you to select either Open, Open in New Page or Copy the link.
  4. Tap "Open in New Page" and Safari will open the link in a new page.

It's pretty simple to open links in a new page within Safari on the iPhone, and can definitely come in handy when you don't want to lose your current web page location when browsing to a link on another web page.
