Why is my Shih Tzu so aggressive?

Why does my Shih Tzu act like it is going to bite or attack me? What can I do quell its behaviour?

In simple terms, your Shih Tzu needs to be put in its place and know who is boss. Some methods that you can try to control this behaviour is to grab a water bottle and squirt it at your Shih Tzu any time it shows signs of aggression. This will convey to him your dominance without your physically hurting him. Another useful method would be filling a jar or container with stones or pebbles and shaking it loudly when your Shih Tzu acts out.
