Why doesn't Windows 11 login screen appear when I click my mouse or keyboard?

I am restarting my Windows 11 desktop computer and it will not show the login screen, so I can't type in my password. Why is the login screen not popping up when I click my mouse or keyboard?

If you have a wireless mouse or keyboard, make sure that the batteries are working.

Second, unplug the USB wireless connections in the back of your desktop. Then plug them back into a different USB port. Also if you have a cord to your wireless mouse plugged in, try unplugging it.

Now, restart your computer, and see if that might be the problem.
