Why did my GE Microwave fan turn ON automatically?

I was cleaning my oven and the fan on my GE Microwave turned on automatically, Why?

The GE Microwave turned on automatically, because the GE microwaves heat sensor sensed that it was too hot, so it turned on the fan. You won't be able to turn the fan off, until the heat dissipates (the fan typically won't turn off automatically).
