Generally cats do not require bathing. Outdoor cats are more likely to require baths than indoor cats due to dirt and fleas. Bathing an indoor cat can wash away dander and hair that does not come out during brushing. If you are going to use shampoo, you should use Pet Shampoo that is sensitive enough for a cat.
