Can I put certain people on the left side of my Facebook profile?

Can I choose who appears on my Facebook sidebar?

In the older Facebook profile, you could put certain people on the left side, if you added them as Family members, or partner (married or dating). However, overall the main friends photos would show friends whom Facebook wanted to show, and you were not able to control which friends pictures showed up.
