Why does my dog freak out around strangers?

Why does my dog act out every time there are strangers in the room? What can I do to curb this behaviour?

It is likely that your dog may need to undergo a training session or two. It is probably unaccustomed to being around people that it does not recognize. One thing you can do is to try taking your dog out of the room whenever it starts barking, and rewarding it when it does not. Eventually it will learn what it is supposed to do if it wants to get the reward.
