What are the symptoms of a bad video card?

Can you tell me the common symptoms of a bad video graphics card? What happens typically when a video card goes bad in a computer?

Symptoms of a bad video card:

- the screen freezes
- colors are strange
- the computer reboots randomly
- Windows reverts back to the Basic interface
- frame rates are low
- visual artifacts exist
- overheating
- games and movies run sluggishly
- games and movies do not run at all
- nothing appears on the screen, it is black, white or grey
- the screen is pixelated
- the computer does not start at all.
