Is it effective to raise my voice at my dog while I am training it?

Is there any scientific evidence to prove that raising one’s voice will ensure effectiveness while training a dog? Will the dog understand what I am trying to convey?

Contrary to what most dog owners may think, yelling at your dog is not a very effective method to use while training it. In fact, your tactic may even backfire especially if you are at the stage where you are training your dog to bark at the sign of an intrusion. If you are yelling simultaneously while your dog is barking, your dog may assume that you are simply in chorus or in agreement with it. Setting up a reward system may be more effective in training your dog successfully.
