If installing Windows XP is taking 40 hours to install, then something is wrong with your computer or hard-drive. It could be that your hard drive is not working correctly. Or it could be that your hard drive is full and doesn't have any more space to install Windows XP.
It might also mean your computer is not powerful enough to install XP.
