Why does my pug wheeze all the time?

Is there any scientific explanation as to why pugs wheeze so often? If my pug does this frequently, does this mean that there’s something wrong with it?

The reason that pugs wheeze all the time is because the pug is a short-faced dog. This means that it experiences a considerable amount of difficulty breathing. This condition is exacerbated when the pug gets overly excited. There is nothing wrong with a pug that wheezes. However, if you notice your pug wheezing excessively, take it to the vet to get checked out.
