Why does my dog resist every time I try to cut its nails?

How can I make it easier for me to cut my dog’s nails? What steps can I take to make my dog feel more comfortable while I am cutting its nails?

Do not fret if your dog freaks out when you attempt to cut its nails. Your dog probably thinks that you are going to harm him but what you can try doing is holding him down and exerting dominance over him without hurting him. You can also trim one paw at a time to lessen the stress on the dog’s part. It might be helpful to enlist the help of another person in holding down your dog. Just make sure that your dog knows that you are not going to hurt him and he will probably be more cooperative in the future.
