When will the public be able to purchase .XXX domain names?

Registration of .xxx domains will be available starting in September 2011.  The new .XXX domain name TLDs are tentatively scheduled to launch on September 7, 2011.

So far more than 200,000 domain applications have been filed. Estimated cost of these domains will be about $70 with $10 going to an ICM-affiliated nonprofit promoting “online responsibility” and thwarting child pornography.
