Can you cancel a facebook message that's been sent?

Is it possible to cancel a facebook message that was sent out?

No, it is not possible to cancel or rescind a message once you've hit the send button on Facebook. So be sure you are absolutely ready to send the message before clicking the send "Reply" button (or hitting the "Enter" key, if you have Quick reply mode enabled.
