Can I block apps on Facebook?

Is it possible to block certain applications on Facebook? Where do I go to do this?

Blocking applications can be done by going to the application’s page, looking at the left hand portion of the screen, and clicking on “Block application” right below the link to “Subscribe via RSS”.
