How to Access Play Controls for Music or Podcasts When iPhone is Locked

by

Here's a cool iPhone tip I discovered not too long ago that allows you to control your music or podcasts while your iPhone screen is locked.

  1. While your iPhone is locked, simply tap on the 'Home' button twice. (Double tap)
  2. The Play, Pause, Forward, and Back button will appear on the screen, which will allow you to control your music.

If you're like me and listen to music or podcasts while falling asleep, accessing the pause button to turn off music while barely awake is an absolute necessity.  Before I learned of this double tap method to access the Play controls it was a nightmare trying to unlock my iPhone to turn music off while half asleep.

Groovy, knew there was a way to do this, just missed the details.

Thanks!
