When does the 2011 NFL regular season start?

If there is not an extend lockout, when will the start of the NFL regular season officially began in 2011? What teams will play the first game to open the season?

The 2011 NFL season is scheduled to begin on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Lambeau Field, the home of the Green Bay Packers, Super Bowl XLV champion. As of this time, the NFL regular season schedule is not out, so there's no word on who will be playing the Green Bay Packers to kick off the first game of the regular season.
