What does JCPenney's Order Status IN PROCESS mean?

I ordered items from JCPenney and the Order Status reads "IN PROCESS", what does that mean? Did the order get shipped out yet?

JCPenney's order status "IN PROCESS" means that the order is in the process of getting located and boxed up for shipping. So your order has not yet been shipped out.

JCP order status will change to "SHIPPED", once your order has shipped out and you will get an email shipping notification.

I would either try canceling the order, or calling customer service and see if they can change it for you. –  Answers  Jan 3rd, 2015 at 10:03 PM

It means your stuff is still sitting on a rack and your not getting it any time soon.....
