How much Wet Cat Food should I feed my cat per day?

How many ounces a day of wet cat food should I be feeding my adult cat? I'm no longer feeding it dry cat food.

Typically, you should feed your cat 1 oz of wet cat food for every 1 lb your cat weighs. So if your cat weighs 6 lbs, then you should feed your cat 6 ounces of wet cat food. Kittens may require more. Read the label on the side of the wet cat food can, to get the recommended amount for the cat food.

Depending on the wet cat food, this estimate may be more or less. For instance, Purina Pro Plan Focus Urinary Tract Health Chicken Entree recommends the following: Feed adult cats 1.1 oz per pound of body weight daily, divided into two or more meals. While Purina Pro Plan Urinary Tract Health Turkey & Giblets recommends 1.0 oz per pound of body weight daily.
