Exactly when are federal taxes for 2013 due? In other words - when does my check need to be AT the IRS office? No one seems to know this.

I know returns are due on April 15. But that answer never really answers the question.

C'mon people! Be specific. When does Greedy Old Uncle Sammy need my little ole check in his greedy slobbering palm?

Your taxes need to be Post marked by April 15th, 2013. So if you mail your taxes in then they should be mailed before or on April 15th, 2013.

If you submit you taxes via e-file then you should submit them on or by April 15th, 2013.
