All about Truth

• It is the true state of a situation, thing, place or an individual.
• It is something that has been instilled in the mind of someone.
• It is more of a personal perception.
• It usually gives answers to the questions ‘what’, ‘how’ and ‘why’.
• It also describes reality as it is.
• However, its description is mainly based on current events.
• It is more subjective compared to a solid fact.
• It is not a universal statement. It doesn’t apply to all the people in the world.
• It is something that is temporary and can change on a case to case basis.

All about Facts

• Facts are things which happen in real life. They govern our everyday living.
• They are situations which exist in this world.
• They are things which bear more truth than your beliefs and opinions.
• They provides answers to the questions ‘what’, ‘when’, ‘where’, ‘how’ and ‘why’.
• They are unlikely to be changed. They belong to the most permanent things in this world.
• They are statements which can stay for decades. They can only be modified if a new but solid theory questions the existence of a certain fact.
• They are the results of empirical observations. They are not born out of someone’s imagination or even from somebody’s intelligent guess.
• They don’t follow subjective principles. Rather, they stick to objective rules. They don’t give importance to someone’s emotions and opinions.
• They can undergo verification for you to prove their claim. However, they already have a lot of supporting documents which make them facts in the first place.
• They can be seen with our naked eyes, heard, tasted, smelled or touched.
• They can be scientific figures or mathematical statements.
