In this quick tip, you'll learn how to open the Windows Explorer in Windows 7.

  1. Move your mouse cursor over the windows Start button and right-click.
  2. In the menu that pops up, click on Open Windows Explorer.
  3. The Windows Explorer window should open up, and you'll be able to access files and folders on your computer easily.

To open Windows Explorer with a keyboard shortcut use the combination Windows Key + E.

Also keep in mind, 'Windows Explorer' is not the same as 'Internet Explorer'.  The Windows Explorer is for navagating files and folders on your computer, while Internet Explorer is for browsing the internet... Hope that's clear now!
