Why won’t my new cat eat, drink or poop?

What is causing my new cat this way? How can I make him eat, drink or poop?

Before anything else, if your cat has been with you a mere day or two, it is perfectly normal for him to act this way. Similar to human beings, it can take awhile for a cat to get accustomed to unfamiliar surroundings. Also, don’t hover over your cat as it makes this adjustment. Many cats prefer to have some privacy and space while eating, drinking or defecating in their new home. If the odd behaviour lasts for more than a few days, take your cat to the vet to get checked out.
