Why does Google Analytics remove the querystrings from referring links?

It's really anonying that any referring link that has a querystring, will get all the querystring data removed when looking at refer stats in Google Analytics. If you try to visit the referring link that GA shows, it's wrong because the querystring is missing... Why would Google Analytics chop the querstring off the referring link? Is there any way to tell GA to capture the full referring link...
