The following factors may make your credit score go down:
- late payments
- new credit report inquiries
- expensive credit card purchases
- having only new accounts in your name, or
- opening several new accounts in a short period of time
- filing for bankruptcy
- an unpaid account was sent to collections
- one of your credit limits was lowered, or
- you closed a credit card.
