What type of salt do they use to salt the roads?

What kind of salt does the salt trucks use to salt the roads? Will this salt supply ever run out in the earth in the next 100 years?

Well as long as there are seas (there are a lot of them) on the planet, the availability of salt will never run down. Ice removing trucks use a mixture of sand and salt to clear out the snow and the sand helps in traction purposes. I don't think this supply of salt is going to deplete unless the seas go dry!
