So as of now, it doesn't appear that there has been an announced release date for the new iPhone 4G. It's likely that Apple will introduce the iPhone 4G and the new OS 4.0 release date as well as all other new products at the World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) from June 7th running through to the 11th.

Taking a look at past iPhone releases it seems pretty likely that the new iPhone 4G release date will occur sometime towards the end of June or beginning of July. However, it's possibly that the Gizmodo iPhone reveal ordeal could delay Apple's original plans. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Below is the previous release dates for the Apple iPhone:

The first Apple iPhone was released on June 29, 2007;
The iPhone 3G was released on July 11, 2008;
The iPhone 3GS was released in the U.S., Canada and six European countries on June 19, 2009.
