A good plan and patience are crucial. Spend equal time with both animals while they are isolated in separate rooms and not visible to each other. As each gets used to their surrounding and scent you can then allow them to visually connect. However, for the first couple weeks you may want to keep their interaction to a minimum, and let them slowly warm up to each other
