Some people feed there cat at set times, like once in the morning and once at night. However, I find it much better to use an automatic cat feeder that is set for every 6 hours, and you're cat can go to it when it gets hungry. If you use small amounts of dry cat food, you cat will not go long periods without getting too hungry. I've found that if a cat gets too hungry it will stuff itself with too much food when it has the chance and then will typically throw up after eating too much.
So having an automatic cat feeder will cut down on your cat getting too hungry and a meowing for food all the time.
