Random people on Facebook friends list?

I've noticed this a lot since they started all these updates on Facebook. Now and then, I'll have someone on my Facebook friends list that I never added. We'll be friends, but I am 100% positive I never accepted any requests from them. Any ideas how they got there?

If they are in your actual "Friends" list, and not just recommendations to be friends, then somehow you or someone with access to your Facebook account accepted their friendship. The first thing I would do is, change your Facebook password and remove any Friends you do not remember adding as a friend.
