Will placing my indoor cat outdoors for a day or two endanger it in any way? What are some steps I can take to ensure its safety?

Allowing your cat to roam outdoors unsupervised may be setting up a precarious situation for it. It might be best to watch your cat while it is outdoors as it may not know how to defend itself or adapt to its surroundings if it has lived indoors all its life. This is especially a no-no if your cat has been declawed as it will have no proper defence for itself.
