Both an adult dog or a puppy are a pleasure to take care of and keep company with. The answer to this question depends entirely on what you are looking for in a dog. If you feel equipped and competent to go through the rigorous process of training, then by all means, purchase a puppy. But if you are looking for a more subdued companion, an older dog might be more suitable for you.
