If i have the Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter but do not have wireless internet at home do i have to run a ethernet cable to my xbox 360?

If i have the Xbox 360 Wireless Network adapter but i do not have wireless internet anywhere in or near my house, do i have to run a ethernet cable from my Xbox 360 to my DSL connection on my computer? Or does the Wireless network Adapter automatically give me wireless internet without using any cables.

Yes,since you don't you have wifi in or near your house, you would have to run an ethernet cable to your Xbox 360 from your DSL connection.

You may want to think about getting a Linksys WRT54G Wireless-G Router if you can find a deal for under $30. This is what I'm currently using, and it works really well for streaming Netflix movies and playing Madden 2010 online. Although, if you have the newest Xbox 360 wireless adapter that supports Wireless-N, then I'd get a Wireless-N router, since wireless-n gives you a better wireless range and a stronger connection.

So i have to get a Ethernet cable and the xbox 360 wireless network adapter to get xbox live?
You would just need an Ethernet cable to connect your xbox 360 to the internet. The Xbox 360 has a wired Ethernet connection built-in. Also I believe the xbox 360 comes with an ethernet cable, but it's probably only a 10ft cable. You don't need the Wireless Network Adapter to get Xbox Live. However, you do need some cash, as Xbox Live Gold, I think usually costs around $50 per year if you buy it through Xbox (get it here for $34.99 https://www.gotknowhow.com/amazon/B0029LJIFG).
