How do I disable wall posting on my Facebook account?

Is there any way I can stop people from posting on my wall? Can I disable wall posting completely?

You can disable wall posting by clicking on “Account” on the upper right hand corner of the homepage, and clicking “Privacy settings” under that. From there, click on “Customise settings”. Find the heading that reads “Things others share” and below that, “Friends can post on my Wall”. From there, click the box beside the word “Enable” to disable wall posting by friends.
