How can you Disable Close Friends Notifications?

I want to designate Close Friends on Facebook, but I'd like to disable all the Close Friend Notifications. Is it possible to disable close friend notifications?

The reason why you put someone in your close friends list, is IN ORDER to get those notifications. I don't think you can disable notifications for the close friends list. (or for any list for that matter). However, you can manually create a list in which you'll designate your close friends and name it accordingly. You won't get the notifications in that simple list, like you would in the close friends automatic smartlist.
