Does the iPhone timer alarm ever eventually stop?

If you set a timer on the iPhone and it goes off, will the alarm ever stop going off if you don't turn it off manually. In other words, will the timer alarm eventually turn off automatically?

Yes, I believe the iPhone timer sound will turn off after 15 minutes.
