Can you lock an iPhone screen so it does not spin when the phone is moved?

Is it possible to lock an iPhone screen in place so it does not spin around from Portrait to Landscape when the phone is moved?

Yes, you can lock an iPhone screen orientation in the vertical “portrait mode” so that it won't rotate to landscape mode. Follow these steps to lock the iPhone screen:

1) Double-click the iPhone’s Home button to open up the bottom row of apps.

2) In the app row, swipe your finger from left to right. Once you get to the first icon that has a circular arrow, you'll want to tap the circular arrow icon (this icon is also known as the “portrait orientation lock”)

3) By tapping the "portrait orientation lock" icon you will lock the screen into the vertical orientation so the screen won’t move or spin around.

To unlock, simply tap the icon again.
