Best ever, 2010-08-30
After years of using various cork screws and cork pullers, I consider this cordless wine opener to be the best, by far. Compared to the usual turning, twisting and pulling involved, this device removes the cork in less than 10 seconds with your only having to hold it in one hand and the bottle in the other. It makes a chore practically fun.
Having read reviews about problems with it losing its charge, I read in the manufacturer's instructions that you should keep it in the charger when not in use; given the opener's size and shape, the charger also serves as convenient storage, so we always keep it in the charger anyway. The main caveat is to make sure that it's properly seated in the base so that the green light flashes. I once noticed that it was askew and had we left it that way, it may have discharged before our next use.
We've had it now for about 9 months and it has performed flawlessly; we've probably opened close to 100 bottles without a single hitch. It's definitely a great tool for anyone who drinks wine (in corked bottles) on a regular basis.

Great gift for wine lovers, 2010-07-23
I received this as a Christmas present, loved it so much that I purchased it as a birthday present for a friend who's also a wine lover. She LOVED it and even plans on buying it as a gift in the future for others. You will not be disappointed it is easy and amazing!

Waring Professoinal Wine Opener, 2010-07-11
This is the best and easiest wine opener I've ever owned. In the past I've used the good old fashioned corkscrew as well as the ones with the needle requiring a gas cartridge, but half of the bottles I tried to open with that were the wrong kind of cork. With this one, you remove the plastic cover with the foil cutter, push the down arrow until it stops and voila, it's done! Then just push the up arrow and the cork will appear again. It's the only one I'll ever use from now on.

Waring Cordless Wine Opener, 2010-06-28
The Waring Model Pro W050 is an excellent cordless corlscrew. I have opened about three dozen bottles and it shows no sign of needind a charge. This is my second opener as the charger quit working on the first one.
